They may be in the hospital, but young cancer patients can still go trick or treating this Halloween during City of Hope ’s annual Pediatric Halloween Parade. Patients will don costumes and enjoy candy, toys and a special performance by Hollywood Records recording artist Allstar Weekend on Thursday, October 28.
Approximately 150 children and their families are expected to participate in this year’s event.
According to the American Cancer Society, cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children between infancy and age 15 in the United States . More than 10,000 children under the age of 15 in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
