PCC Gifted Three Sculptures from Local Art Collector

Pasadena City College was recently gifted three sculptures from MaryLou Boone, an art patron and collector in Pasadena. Boone, a longtime supporter of the LACMA and The Huntington, began collecting French ceramics more than 25 years ago while traveling through France with her late husband.
“The Magic Thumb,” a bronze sculpture from 1985 by Ken Price, is slated for the sculpture garden. “Woman Waiting 1,” a bronze sculpture from 1984 by Norma Penchansky-Glasser, and “Olymbiad-88,” a stainless steel and summa plated sculpture from 1988 by Pascal, will be placed on other college sites that have yet to be determined.
For more information, please contact Alex Kritselis, division dean of Visual Arts & Media Studies, at (626) 585-7620.
