Pasadena City College’s excelling freshmen will be recognized for academic excellence during the “Honors at Entrance” reception on Nov. 4. The reception will be held at Creveling Lounge inside the PCC Campus Center, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Honors at Entrance are granted to selected graduates of accredited high schools. Those students who apply for the honor are required to have an overall grade-point average of 3.5 or above in grades 10 through 12, and be currently enrolled in college full-time.
“This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate why we are a community college and how we’re serving Pasadena and surrounding communities,” said David Le Claire, assistant director of the PCC Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. “We also get to celebrate the accomplishments of these scholars.”
Recipients will receive a certificate, an engraved pen, and a cash award for $500. They will also be invited to join the Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society to continue their pursuit of success.
