A group of locals last week announced the formation of a group that will stage LitFest Pasadena, a celebration of books, reading, writing, the spoken word

Details, timing? Yeah, they're sketchy. But after months of getting it together, we've partnered with the Pasadena Arts Council's fiscal sponsorship program, so that LitFest is able to take in tax-deductible donations through the council's 501(c)(3) status, and that's a crucial step in moving forward. Now comes a season of friend-raising, fundraising, grant proposals and organization.
