GET UP AND MOVING AROUND THE ROSE BOWL LOOP DECEMBER 1 WITH PASADENA MAYOR BILL BOGAARD

Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, along with Tournament of Roses President Jeffrey L. Throop, 2011 Rose Queen Evanne Friedmann and her royal court, will lead a 3.3-mile walk around the Rose Bowl Loop at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, as part of Up & Moving Pasadena.

Meet at Gate A at the stadium.  Free parking is available.  All levels of ability will be accommodated.

There will be a free drawing for four grandstand tickets to the 2011 Rose Parade courtesy of the Tournament of Roses Association.

On the first day of each year, the world focuses its attention on Pasadena , home of the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game – a festival of flowers, music and sports unequaled anywhere in the world.  The Tournament of Roses is America’s New Year’s celebration, a greeting to the world on the first day of every year and a salute to the community spirit and love of pageantry that have thrived in Pasadena for more than a century.

Up & Moving Pasadena is a community effort to support fitness for health.  Walks are scheduled the first Wednesday of every month except January.

Find walking tips, start a walking group and track your progress atwww.upandmoving.org or call (626) 831-2980.
